E3 VISA (AUSTRALIAN PROFESSIONALS)
E-3 Visas are for Australian professionals who intend to work in the United States in a professional capacity.
E1 Visa for Treaty Trader
E1 visas (non-immigrant) are authorized for nationals (individuals or companies) of countries with which the United States has a commercial treaty.
E2 Treaty Investor Visa
The E-2 Treaty Investor Visa is a non-immigrant visa that is available to nationals of a foreign country which has a qualifying treaty of commerce and navigation with the United States.
EB5 Investor Visa
This EB-5 visa is a great option for investors and entrepreneurs to get a green card to the United States. With an EB-5 visa, you can live and work in the United States. You can also get a green card for your spouse, and your children through the EB-5 visa.
F1 Visa (Student)
F-1 visas allow thousands of foreign students to study in the United States and obtain the cultured experience. If your course of study will be more than 18 hours per week you will need a student visa.
H1 B Visa
American companies/organizations to employ foreign workers who possess both a theoretical or practical application of a body of highly specialized knowledge and a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
H3 Visas for Trainees
The H3 Visa classification applies to aliens coming to the U.S. to participate in a training program. There is a numerical cap on the number of H-3 special education exchange visitors. No more than 50 visas may be approved per fiscal year.
J1 Visa
The J-1 Visa is for aliens who come to the U.S. to participate in an “exchange-visitor” program. The J-1 visa differs in requirements and time depending on the J-1 program. There are several categories such as: intern, trainee, au pair, scientist, student to physician and summer camp counselors.
K1 Visa
The K1 visa (also called the fiancé visa) is a special visa which allows the fiancé of a U.S. citizen to enter the United States, marry their U.S. citizen fiancé, and adjust status in the United States to get their green card.
PERM LABOR CERTIFICATION
Program Electronic Review Management (PERM) is the process used for obtaining a labor certification and is the first step for certain foreign nationals in obtaining an employment-based immigrant visa (i.e. green card).
TN Visa for Canadians
The TN visa was originally created under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) between Canada, U.S. and Mexico. Although we use the term “visa” for purposes of this info, Canadians are not actually issued a “visa.” Instead, they are admitted in TN status if approved.
B2 & B1 Visas
The visitor visas are for persons from non-visa waiver countries who wish to enter the US temporarily for business or, pleasure or to receive medical treatment and also Tourist Visas are included in this class of visas.
VAWA
The Violence Against Women Act, or VAWA, is a special law which allows the spouse and/or child of an abusive U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident to apply for a green card by self-petition. Through VAWA, someone can apply for their green card without the help of their abusive spouse.
